I tried to think of all the comforting things that people said to me when my dad died, and I realized that nothing helps especially...except to know that she is in Glory. Ive been weeping for your family all day off and on here in FL. My thoughts and prayers are with you...you all are very dear to us!
I didn't have Mrs. Vantholan as a teacher when i went to old quarry, but i have heard many good things about here. She seemed really nice and seemed like an amazing person. I know that she will be missed all arou nd. <3 becky

Mrs. Vantholen you were an amazing teacher and an awesome friend. Im very grateful i got to have you as my teacher, im very sad that you had to leave so soon, but i know that it was just meant to happen. You will always be in my heart and i will never ever forget you. You are probably looking down at us right now, and you would want us to be happy. That's hard at this moment, but im sure soon we will bring our happy smiles back. I imagine you being your crazy self up there with god and are now out of your pain. You have touched so many of our hearts, and brought our school closer. We have become strong going throught your ups and downs with you, and it has also taught us about how we need to be more grateful with our own lives. Most of us take things for granted, and it shouldnt be like that. That's why, after everything you have been through, i know that you are finally happy now, and forever. Sheri was a math tutor for my daughter while she was in 6th grade and this past year she was her Math Teacher. Sheri was so passionate and Maggie worked so hard to do a good job this year in her class. Those students that had her as a teacher are so fortunate to have had their lives touched by hers. This years Ocean Dwellers were even more fortunate to have been on her team; not only did they learn to have a love for Math, but they learned about courage, strength, perseverance, and compassion; every day she came to school she set an example for them. Her students will be better people for having had her in their lives.

you were an amazing teacher and all around person. you helped so many students this year and past years. i dotn think anyone will ever forget you. you were always smiling and happy no matter how much pain you were actually going through.you will be missed. i will always remember my 7th grade year at old quarry middle school.

ms. vantholen you were an amazing person. you were more then a teacher to me, you were a friend. you will always stay in my heart because you have touched mine like you have touched many others. its a terrible thing not knowing i will ever see you again, but i know it was for the better. you were strong and everyone knew that you put up a good fight.

I didnt have Ms van tholen as a teacher. I heard she was an amazing berson that was out there to help anyone. May god bless her soul! She brought alot of students together. We learned alot from her. God bless Ms. Van Tholen

Mrs. Van Tholen will be terribly missed. Even though I didn't have her as a teacher I heard that she was a wonderful person! you will be missed by many people!
The one thing I will always remember about Ms.Vantholen is that she never gave up. She taught everyone of her students to follow their dreams and to never give up, even when it seemed impossible to keep going. She will be missed dearly, but she fought as hard as she could.She was an amazing teacher and never had a frown on her face, no matter how much pain she was in. Thank you for what you have done to make me a better person and you will be missed.

I don't think I ever saw Ms. Vantholen without a smile on her face. She was surely a great example and I'll never stop missing her. Old Quarry just isn't the same when I come back to visit and walk through those halls. It must be hard for those who have to walk through there every day. Ms. Vantholen will never be forgotten.
