This is Mandy, Sheri's sister. I just wanted to let everybody know that in the last couple of days, Sheri's condition has worsened considerably. We have placed her in hospice care at this time. She is resting comfortably at my dad's house. Please continue to keep Sheri and my family in your prayers through this very difficult time.
Proverbs 3:5
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding."
Psalm 46:1
"God is our refuge and strength. An everpresent help in trouble."

This is what I believe: Sheri will always be with us. She is a beautiful angel and her family is amazing.
Engbers family~
My prayers are with your family during this very difficult time.
you guys know that i'm with you... praying for you... thinking of you... here for you. Sheri will always be my "big sister." i love her, and all of you, and am here for you guys.
So many people are thinking of you and praying for you and your family right now, I hope you can find some strength and comfort in all the love and prayers that are being sent to you.. You are not alone. Peace and Love, Mary and all the people at BRD/SCD.
When I first met you... you thought I was a crazy girl from FL & I thought you were a weirdo from IL. Well, we both were right!!!
I love you dear roommate. I miss you already.
What joy you will have when Christ calls you home to be with him in perfect Glory!!
Love, Cari
Sheri, dear, I have been with you throughout this difficult journey... along with a whole host of others on my prayer network! You are in God's hands - He has had you all the way, and He is carrying you now. "See! I will not forget you... I have carved you on the palm of my hand." Isaiah 49:15. Find peace in God's perfect plan. Although we may not ever understand, we are all a part of a bigger picture. You, my friend, bless everyone who comes in contact with you. You are surrounded by God's love and the love of your family and "Circle of Friends". Find strength, peace, and love from the presence of your family and friends - I am with you daily in thought, prayer, and spirit. Peace, I leave with you, my friend, and I am with you till the end.
Dear Mandy,
Thank you for posting an update on Sheri. Since Olga sent me the link to this blog a few months ago, I have been faithfully reading it and draw so much inspiration from Sheri's strong words and awesome faith. I will continue to pray for you, your family and Sheri during these days together. I am so sorry that you are all going through this. Thank you again for sharing.
With Love,
Kris (and Eric) Heerema
Engbers Family,
You are all in our prayers.
Sheri you are an amazing woman that has taught me so much about faith, courage, and strength during this difficult journey. You are an inspiration to so many and a true example that will never be forgotten.
Much love,
Olga and Ben Karwoski
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free!
I follow the plan God laid for me.
I saw His face, I heard His call,
I took His hand and left it all...
I could not stay another day,
To love, to laugh, to work or play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
And if my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss...
Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss.
My life's been full, I've savoured much:
Good times, good friends, a loved-one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief—
Don't shorten yours with undue grief.
Be not burdened with tears of sorrow,
Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow.
Sheri is home and shouting the above prayer to us all!!!
Sheri was a wonderful and gifted teacher. She had the ability to make my children believe in themselves and their abilities. My son saw her on Wednesdays after school for private tutoring in math. She had a way of explaining it so that it made sense (as my son would say). As I read her blogs from the last year, I see that her strong faith in God gave her the strength to get through it all and to continue to teach. And for that we are grateful. This year she changed my son's confidence level in math from "low" to "high" and made him believe in himself. Thank you Sheri. You will be remembered as an inspiration in your teaching and your strong faith in God.
My friend, Doug and family:
I grieve with you and pray that our heavenly Father will be with you in ways you can both feel and see. I trust God's grace will hold you fast to our Hope.
We belong to a faithful Savior, in life and in death.
Lord come quickly!
JZ
