Week Three Thursday

I am in much better spirits tonight. My stomach still feels bloated, but I am not letting it get me down.

This morning was a little rough because I didn't sleep much last night, for whatever reason. I wasn't in pain or anything; my body just didn't want to let me sleep. When I got to school there were some of my vigilant prayer warriors ready to pray with me. What a blessing! After that, my day turned for the positive. I made it the whole day at school!

I must say that I am very sick and tired of fighting this battle. I wish that God would just take it away from me and heal my body of all the cancer. I know that He will do what is in His plan and at His time. I just have to be patient, keep the faith, and remember that He is with me.

I will keep fighting because I am not ready to give up!

It was so good to hear that your day got better! I was quite worried about you after I hung up with you this morning. I told dad this was going to be a long, hard day for you, but with the power of prayer it was turned around and things got so much better!! God truly carries us through those exceptionally tough moments!! I love you so much Sheri! Smooches!! :)

I'm so glad you were able to join us on our zoo field trip today! I know how much you love that place. Me, I still get caught up on some of the unique smells associated with it, but hey our kids were awesome! We'll take that:-)

Enjoy your long weekend!!!

Love, Michelle

Hey, Mrs. VanTholen, we just wanted to let you know that we cranked out a ton of bracelets, and we will be selling them starting tomorrow in the lunchroom along with the teal ovarian bracelets. We worked really hard on them because we love you so much. We miss you and hope that you are resting up so that you can be here for the last few days. We'll be wearing our TEAM VT t-shirts tomorrow for you!

Love,
TEAM VTJRPT2:-)

Hi Sheri,
I left you a blog message the other day and it's nowhere to be found. The ironic part of that message is that I was giving myself praise for being so tech savory- I guess I never clicked on the publish button! Some things never change!!! We sent off a bunch of teal rockets for you yesterday. The kids really did an awesome job. I video taped 4th period's launches and judging by my technology skills, you're in for a real treat!
We miss your cute, little smiling face at work but we also know that you are getting the rest you need.
Take care of yourself and as always you are in my thoughts and prayers!! Keep fighting.
Love ya,
Reenie

Sheri, The kids have missed you like crazy! So have us "big kids". I miss chatting with you throughout the day, but I will gladly forgo that in order for you to rest up and feel stronger. We are all praying for you, thinking about you and sending you our thoughts and strength to carry on this fight. Enjoy the great weather this weekend - sunny like you! Love, Judy

I want to share a simple prayer that is in a small prayer booklet Peggy gave me:
Cancer is Limited...
It cannot cripple love,
It cannot shatter hope,
It cannot corrode faith,
It cannot eat away peace,
It cannot destroy confidence,
It cannot shut out memories,
It cannot silence courage,
It cannot invade the soul,
It cannot reduce eternal life,
It cannot quench the spirit,
It cannot lesson the power of the
Resurrection.
My candle flickers brightly and I pray once again on this 29th day, Our Father, who art in heaven...
Let us all continue to Live Strong in Faith, Courage, Strength, and Hope, always surrounded in LOVE!!!
Love u lots sweet Sheri! Mary
